About the Author
Dr. Howard E. Wasdin graduated with BUD/S Class 143. He was awarded the Silver Star for his valor during the Battle of Mogadishu. He medically retired from the Navy in November 1995 after twelve years of service. He makes his home in Georgia. Visit his website at www.howardwasdin.com.
Stephen Templin completed Hell Week, qualified as a pistol and rifle expert, and blew up things during Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training. He lectured as a tenured university professor in Japan for fourteen years, where he also practiced the martial art aikido. Currently, he lives in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

I wanted to get a start on the book-- then 115 pages later and at 2am I looked up.

Easy Day for the Dead is the 2nd story in the series by Wasdin and Templin. In this story, you follow the Outcast gang, Alex, Pancho, John, and Cat as the action takes them this time on a fast paced op deep in the heart of Iran. The Iranians have developed a highly deadly biological agent with plans to wipe out half of the US population, and a surprise awaits the Outcasts once they arrive at the target. The story is classic with elite special operations action, taking the reader from the barren, hot Lutz Desert, to Germany and the lush Black Forrest, Lebanon, the Amazon Jungle, and Saint Petersburg, Russia.
I particularly enjoyed the human component to the story. Life happens. People fall in love. Life is messy and complicated. It's hard make decisions when you know you want something else in your life. What do you do when you are Alex Brandenburg and you are battling demons from your past, knowing you are in love, and you want something else in life? What do you do when you are a highly skilled operative with a decision to make?

Another good one in the series-Keep them coming

I really enjoy Stephen Templin writing and this series is a good one, especially keeping stable characters. Pancho and John are well suited funny guy and straight man team. One suggestion. On the next book in this series I think its safe to reduce pages spent on Sarah and the detail of every piece of gear. Half way through the book on page 215 Khan was mentioned as General Kahn and following page he was back to being the correct Major Khan. Should have been caught in editing.

Great second book in the series!!! Made me feel almost like I was there, Love books that when you put them down you feel like you really experienced what you just read, the emotion and excitment you feel almost like you were observing or participating in the story. Easy Day for the Dead does this just like the first Seal Team Six Outcasts story. Loved it and look forward to the next!!!!
